    (for new members/renewals after Dec 1, 2016,  UPDATED July 1, 2017)
URNA is a membership-based service, but please realize that we all benefit from the hard work of the volunteers and the patrols, cameras, etc.  So we encourage you to be a contributing member to this effort and the efforts of our volunteers. See also the membership level graphic below…

IMPORTANT LINKS FOR NEW PATROLS INFO: (as of July 1)

As of July 1, 2017, URNA has partnered with Bay Alarm to provide patrols moving forward and existng URNA members must update paperwork with Bay to continue their patrols! (Bay will do billing too) Here are some useful LINKS with info:

URNA ASSOCIATE MEMBERS($20/mo)*:  As an Associate Member, you receive a reduced set of services from patrols, and peace of mind that all of the deterrence benefits of the patrols and cameras are helping our neighborhood.  Associate Members can upgrade to Full members any time.
(* members are billed quarterly, Bay Alarm requires a 1-year commitment )

NOTES NOTE! We all clearly benefit from patrols driving our streets, keeping an eye on ALL houses.

FOR URNA MEMBERS AS OF JULY 1, 2017:
Existing Members of URNA at the July 1 switchover to Bay Patrols will need to complete new forms to activate their patrol service directly with Bay Alarm. Contact us on this site, or Bay Alarm if you need assistance (Bay Alarm Customer Service: 800-610-1000)
IF YOU HAVE BAY PATROLS ALREADY: and are a URNA member, you need not take any action.

The URNA-BAY PATROLS AGREEMENT is for patrols only and does not cover alarm monitoring, alarm upgrades etc. YOU DO NOT NEED AN ALARM to sign up for URNA patrols services!    And if you have an alarm, you may certainly sign up for patrols and inform your alarm monitoring service if you want them to call Bay.

Switching to the URNA-Bay Patrols is recommended for ALL URNA members and the service will be similar to past under URNA but with improvements at a slightly lower cost.

    How Funds are used

URNA Rockridge Patrols were a subscription service funded by your generous contributions with  patrol hours correlating directly to the amount of the funds raised each month. In July 2017, URNA entered into a strategic partnership with Bay Alarm – a 50 year old company based in Oakland that provides patrol services to many residents within the URNA boundaries. By combining forces we will have more consistent staffing, a local dispatch center, longer patrol hours (24/7), online patrol logs, etc.

New members of URNA get a discount for patrols services (first month free!) and all members get discounts on other services offered by Bay Alarm such as alarm monitoring, alarm hardware, etc.

Money in the URNA general fund will go towards purchasing cameras and signs at strategic locations in the neighborhood. Our volunteers can access the video at specific times to help track down bad guys.  With Bay Alarm taking over patrols and billing for those (only), URNA will revert to a Contribution based means for raising funds moving forward.

A small portion pays for modest expenses (website, flyers, mailings, community outreach, annual survey, etc.). The board of directors are residents who generously volunteer their time and care for free.
